Long Bio

Neil D. Morris has spent more than 25 years leading IT in public and private organizations across aerospace, defense, and various regulated environments at every scale. He currently consults and advises leaders navigating AI transformation, drawing on hard-won lessons from initiatives that both succeeded spectacularly and failed painfully.

A Forbes Technology Council member, two-time Orbie-nominated CIO, and keynote speaker on AI strategy and leadership, Neil built and scaled AI/ML programs from concept to production. His book, Why AI Fails, distills those experiences into the Seven Pillar AI Adoption Framework—a practical system covering Strategic Clarity, Leadership Alignment, Capability Building, Pilot Discipline, Scale Strategy, Risk Management, and Continuous Evolution.

Neil’s core belief: technology doesn’t fail organizations—leadership does. The 5% who succeed at AI transformation aren’t doing anything magical; they’re mastering fundamentals that the 95% skip.
